With 20+ years of operating and investing experience in the supply chain, Marlon Ramirez launched Blue Impact leveraging deep sector expertise. Before Blue Impact, he Co-Founded Azul Airlines, Azul Cargo, and Modern Logistics, large transportation and logistics operations.
Marlon leverages his entrepreneurial background, fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and his LP base of logistics company owners to provide an edge to his portfolio companies. Before his entrepreneurial trajectory, Marlon was an investment banker at UBS, where he participated in Telecom and Transportation transactions including M&A and IPOs. Marlon obtained his B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Brown University.
Founded Freight Logistics in 2001, a technology-powered international freight forwarder and high-tech supply chain solutions provider headquartered in Miami, with branch offices in the United States, Argentina, Brazil and Chile acquired in 2019, and nXT Software Solutions, a WMS SaaS Software company acquired in 2022.
Gabriel’s passion for technology and logistics has driven him to the forefront of the industry’s transformation, and he believes that the next 5-10 years will only continue to bring about exciting changes. As an entrepreneur, Gabriel is committed to being hands-on and finding innovative solutions to problems that continue to push the industry forward.
Arthur Ferreira is an investment professional with extensive experience in buy-side transactions and strategic investments. He has a proven track record of identifying high-growth opportunities, executing deals, and creating value for portfolio companies.
At Blue Impact Arthur focuses on sourcing and coordinating investments in startups. With the commitment to supporting tech-driven companies, Arthur helps identify and empower entrepreneurs building the innovations required to transition to more sustainable supply chain.
Prior to Blue Impact, Arthur was an M&A Associate at Patria Investments, where he played a key role in the analysis, structuring, and execution of 10+ M&A transactions valued at U$100M+ in the FoodService logistics and CyberSecurity sectors.
Petya Angelova is a seasoned procurement and supply chain executive with 10+ years of experience in high-tech and engineering managing budgets up to €61M.
Most recently, Angelova served as the Strategic Sourcing Lead at EnduroSat, a leading aerospace manufacturer and space services provider. At EnduroSat, she played a critical role in developing sourcing strategies to meet the unique demands of the space industry. Her responsibilities included supplier selection, contract negotiations, and ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality components for satellite development.
Angelova is actively involved in several prominent networks and organizations. She is a member of Global Women in VC, supporting women in venture capital and entrepreneurship, and CIPS – The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply. She is also an ambassador for FoodHack, and collaborates with the Founder Institute, mentoring and supporting early-stage entrepreneurs.
He began his career in 2004 building a book of business in less-than-truckload (LTL) freight brokerage, as an independent sales rep at Diversified Transportation Services. In 2009, Tristan became an agency owner with Covenant Transport, where he spent a decade offering full truckload brokerage freight services under Covenant’s umbrella. By the end of 2018, armed with deep industry insight, founded two complementary companies Iamfr8 Inc, an asset based trucking company, and Fr8topia LLC, a freight brokerage.
Fabrizio Alvear is the Co-President of ePost Global, a tech-enabled global shipping solutions provider specializing in cost-effective international delivery services.
Since 2000, he has been a key player in the sector, serving in senior leadership positions at companies such as DHL, where he drove strategic initiatives that enhanced operational efficiency. His expertise extends to e-commerce logistics, having managed complex supply chain networks to meet the demands of cross-border commerce.
Under his leadership at ePost Global, Alvear oversaw the acquisition of the International Mail and Parcel Logistics Business from R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company in 2020, a move that expanded the company’s service offerings and global reach.
